Evidence Based Treatment Practices
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, goal-oriented style of communication with particular attention to the language of change. It is designed to strengthen personal motivation for and commitment to a specific goal by eliciting and exploring the person’s own reasons for change within an atmosphere of acceptance and compassion.

SMART Recovery
SMART (Self-Management and Recovery Training) is an evidence-based recovery method that supports people with substance dependencies or problem behaviors to: 1) Build and maintain motivation, 2.) Cope with urges and cravings, 3). Manage thoughts, feelings and behaviors, and 4) Lead a balanced life

TREM
TREM (Trauma Recovery & Empowerment Model) is a fully manualized 24- to 29-session group intervention for women who survived trauma and have substance use and/or mental health conditions. This model draws on cognitive–behavioral, skills training, and psychoeducational techniques to address recovery and healing from sexual, physical, and emotional abuse.

Intensive Case
Management
The goal of Intensive Case Management is to help clients decrease higher levels of care, increase enrollment in education and employment, maintain medication compliance (when applicable), decrease criminal activity and/or arrests, support and sustain safe and stable housing, increase participation in recovery programs and supports, obtain financial stability, and obtain self-sufficiency

Parenting Classes
The Nurturing Program for Families in Substance Abuse Treatment and Recovery
This program focuses on the effects of substance abuse on families, parenting, and the parent-child relationship. Combining experiential and didactic exercises, the approach is designed to enhance parents' self-awareness and thereby increase their capacity to understand their children.

Each contact session is 90 minutes in length. The treatment spans 17 weeks, but curricula can be adapted for 11 weekly sessions, or 60-minute sessions.

Child Development
Education
Parents will be educated on the four child development domains: physical development, intellectual development, language development, and social development from infancy to teenage years. The purpose is for parents to have adequate knowledge to encourage and teach specific skills in each phase of development to promote a healthy lifestyle for their children.

Support Groups
Led by peer support staff, support groups offer clients the opportunity to engage with others with similar experiences to share firsthand information and practical advice, while building a support network making them feel less alone and empowered through their recovery journey.
Doula/Childbirth Education
Doula Support
This service is outsourced to a local doula to provide classes at our facility before, during, and after our clients' pregnancy to provide childbirth and new mother tips, education and advocacy along with physical and emotional support.
Addiction Education
Addiction Education
Using evidence-based prevention techniques, our addiction education classes provides the knowledge to make healthier personal choices and ways for clients to avoid risky situations. Clients will be educated on what substance abuse is, how and why substances are abused, how alcohol and certain drugs affect the brain and body, consequences of addiction in terms of physical and mental health, family members, and relationships and how to create strategies to avoid negative peer pressure associated with drugs and alcohol.
Referral Network
It is our goal to work closely with other providers and agencies to assist clients in directly accessing resources to meet their specific needs and goals as it relates to their new or unborn child, recovery efforts, and legal matters.
Community Outreach
& Engagement
Through various media, we aim to educate the community at large about our program and the many factors that contribute to the substance abuse epidemic along with the solutions available.
